Cloud means you as a customer do not own the hardware that stores and processes your data. You are free from maintaining hardware, operating system, application software and related licenses. That saves you a lot of money but you will loose control too.
You need to decide what data and processes can be moved to cloud and what will not. Once you determine that, you will be able to save lots money by moving what you can to cloud.
