I just saw it on the news (NHK). Japanese government is preparing for warmer climate. The Environment Ministry estimates that average temperatures in Japan at the end of the 21st century will rise as much as 4.4 degrees Celsius from late-1990s levels, even with strict precautions.
This is the first time I heard any government saying to get ready for this change instead of how we can stop this.
