You can't do business anymore with just a handshake.
When you start a job, you don't know how someone will change, even if you are close with them. You don't know what they are thinking when you used to know without saying a word between each other. I miss the fact that we can no longer just shake hands and do business with each other.
In order to create a contract, we have to think of all types of negative things. It can't be pleasant for both of us since we have to think about the worst case scenario right from the start. The motivation to work hard will be dampened.
No matter what you do, you need a contract nowadays - it’s sad. You can't trust the other person because you're trying to protect yourself. I would like to believe what's really important is not the contract, but the trust.
