There is a Japanese saying: 泣きっ面に蜂 (nakittsura ni hachi).
 
Literally, it means “a bee stings a crying face.” In other words, when someone is already suffering, another problem comes along and makes things worse.
 
In English, we often say, “When it rains, it pours.” Your phrase, “Bad luck likes company,” also captures the feeling well. Trouble rarely arrives alone. One problem invites another, and before we know it, a small difficulty becomes a difficult day.
 
But this saying is not only about bad luck. It also reminds us that life tests our patience when we are weakest. When we are already tired, angry, or disappointed, even a small sting feels much bigger.
 
Business is the same. A server goes down, then a customer calls, then another issue appears. That is when leadership matters most.
 
Bad luck may like company, but calm thinking also attracts solutions. The sting hurts, but it does not have to define the day.
