Better to Try and Fail Than Regret Never Trying
There is a Japanese way of thinking that I have always valued:

It is better to try and fail than to do nothing and regret it later.
It is better to try and fail than to do nothing and regret it later.
Many people hesitate because they are afraid of making the wrong decision. They wait for more information, better timing, or some guarantee of success.
But there is no guarantee.
If you try and fail, failure teaches you something. You learn what worked, what did not, and what you should do differently next time. Failure becomes experience.
If you do nothing, however, you gain nothing. Years later, you may still wonder, “What would have happened if I had tried?”
Of course, this does not mean acting recklessly. Think, prepare, and understand the risks. But eventually, you must make a decision.
You can recover from many failures.
Regret over never trying can last a lifetime.
When in doubt, I would rather move forward.
