There is an old Japanese proverb:
“Even a dog that walks will get hit by a stick.”
Traditionally, it was a warning. If you wander around unnecessarily or get involved in things, you may encounter unexpected trouble. A dog that stays home will not get hit by a stick.
But the proverb later developed another interpretation: if you take action, you may encounter something unexpected—and it may turn into an opportunity.
Many inventions and discoveries have come from accidents, mistakes, or unexpected results. They were not what people originally intended to create.
I think business works the same way.
When you try something new, you may fail. You may encounter problems you never expected. But sometimes that “accident” teaches you something more valuable than the original plan.
If you do nothing, you can avoid many mistakes.
But you also eliminate many opportunities.

Sometimes you have to start walking before you know what you will discover.
